We spent our evening preparing our raised garden bed for the fall. We took out all of the tomato plants that were left and tilled up the dirt a little. Haleigh had a great time with the rake! You can see that she and James had a little team work going for a bit until James decided it would be more fun to just get in the garden bed. They were both covered in dirt and their bath water was black. But they had fun. Haleigh was very sad that we were taking the tomato plants out. She just couldn’t understand why.
On a side note—for those that like to hear about what’s going on in Haleigh’s brain--I always let her pick her book before bed. Tonight she picked a children’s Bible. In it, obviously, are different illustrated Bible stories. She chose to read the store of Moses. I swear, the girl was almost in tears during the part when Moses’ mother had to put him in the basket to go down the river to safety. She just did not understand why anyone would do this. In the next picture, there was the “Princess" that found Moses floating in the water. All I can say is, thank goodness there was a “princess” to make this story turn around for her! She was okay once she realized that the Princess was going to take care of him. She is so funny!
