Don’t you just love fall? The cool crisp air, the apples, the mums, the pumpkins, the smell of chili simmering on the stove??!! Can you tell it’s my favorite time of year? I love everything about fall and I especially love watching the transformation of the trees as they begin to show their autumn colors!
Today we popped over to Iron’s fruit farm to get some fresh apples. So, of course, we had to feed the goats, play on the farm, and eat a cider donut! Fall is not complete without a cider donut and fresh apples (with none of that nasty wax and pesticides on it!) from the farm. There are several other farms we plan on hitting this season and I can’t wait.
The kids had a blast just running around. I sit back and watch them find the joy in the simplest things. I love that about my children and all children for that matter. Shouldn’t we all take their example? Find the joy in the little things? To be 4 or 2 again where life is full of no worries, and feeding goats make you giggle until you can’t breathe, and tire swings make you grin from ear to ear, and eating a cider donut means you have sugar and cinnamon from your mouth to your ears and it doesn’t make a difference!? I love their joy. I thank God for that today.
Don’t they make these apples look delicious?!
Ok, this next sequence of pictures just makes me laugh. At first, I thought they just looked cute running towards each other. And then, Haleigh started dancing and I just started snapping. I’m wondering where she got these moves. James was trying to keep up with her but he finally gave up. LOL.
