Spent some time at the Renaissance Festival.  Very interesting place and oddly entertaining!

I have the picture of this guy pushing the dragon because I had to include the story…

Haleigh saw him and thought he was God! It must the long hair because, trust me, there was no other resemblance!  He was a freaky one!  I am wondering if she will tell her Sunday School teacher tomorrow that God pushed her in the dragon at the  Renaissance Festival!?! She is so funny.

You really think Scott and Chris were going to pass up “Test of Strength?!”  Those two are way too competitive but it is so entertaining to watch them.

Had to rid the camel…and give her future Ms. America wave while she rode.

And here the boys are trying out some turkey legs.

Here I am playing catch up with my posts again.  So sorry that I got behind but with James’ ear infections and now broken wrist and cast, things have been a little out of sorts around here!  I’ll tell you what, my Jamesy is such a trooper!  He had his 3rd antibiotic shot this morning and we hope that this one did the trick.   We will be visiting an ENT soon to see about the possibility of tubes in hopes of preventing these nasty ear infections.  I’ll be sure to keep everyone posted.

As for the cast—James did so very well when he got it on.  We had a couple of moments where he just lost it and cried but a sucker did the trick and dried up his tears!  The crew that worked with him were great!  I was very concerned that James would resist the cast and be cranky about it.  Boy was I wrong.  He slept GREAT through the night and even during his nap.  He has just played and moved about as if it is not even there.  I’m truly amazed.  Here are the pictures of his cast that I took yesterday.

He normally eats with his right hand but he just adapted and switched on over to the left!

The kids are loving this Home Depot aprons/tool belts.  We used them on our walk to collect “treasures!”  They found lots of acorns!  :)

Drove to Dayton today to go to the Hobby Lobby…never made it there (sorry, mom) because I just had to stop and see if there were any good photo opps at Cox Arboretum!  i took a bunch of pics today and could post a lot more but for now I’m just posting my favorite so I’m not sucked into my laptop for the next few hours.  Instead, I’m going to relax on the couch with Chris for the rest of the evening.

This, my friends, is accountability!  I have until December 24th to finish!  Today is my official start date!  Look for pictures of progress until then (and ask me if you don’t see any)!  :)

Snowball was giving mom  a serious stare down this evening.  She’s all about being right in your face lately.

The kids went around in at least a hundred circles with this silly, sticky string stuff that they had.  You can tell they were having a blast.  I would have thrown up if I were to have gone around in that many circles.

My sweet Haleigh.  She couldn’t find the match to her ruby slipper so she settled for the pink one.  When I went in her room she was clicking them together on her bed and saying, “there’s no place like a good home.”  I guess I agree with her!  :) The other pictures I snapped while she was singing to me.  Something she enjoys doing every night now.  She just makes up crazy songs! I need to start writing down her lyrics!

Look closely into Haleigh’s play house and you will see all of my expensive makeup brushes!  Chris is the one that noticed it.  When I asked what they were in there for…her doll house was dirty and they needed some brooms and mops to clean up!  How cute is that?!  I love the creativity of a 3 year old!!!

They were all about helping each other up the hill today at playgroup!  So sweet.

We got to go in the last 15 minutes of class this week.  Being that it was only her 2nd class, I was impressed.  Although having us moms in there was horribly distracting for them.  Haleigh kept saying, “mom, you watching?!”  I’m glad that she seems to be enjoying her creative movements class so far. I’m excited to see how she will improve.

Chris surprised us by getting home way earlier than we anticipated.  What a great surprise!  He brought Haleigh and I each our own bunch of flowers.  Haleigh said, “That’s just what I wanted!”  So funny.  He also brought the kids this ginormous suckers!  The were loving life!
