Love this picture of James and Chris!

Last year, Chris had fun spinning me while we were in the strawberry.  This year, I was happy to take pictures on the side!  The kids enjoyed it.  Jamesy and Haleigh screamed and Colton said, “more” when it would stop spinning!

Haleigh was tooo cute on this!  This ride would just take her up and then drop.  She is so funny.  She screamed and laughed the whole time!

One day, this is going to be the real scenario.  Haleigh will driving those two around and bossing them like crazy.

Ahhh, the hats.  One of the excitements of Oktoberfest.  More exciting for the older boys…as you can tell.  They made sure to go to the same spot as last year…easy to remember the Chiquita sign…

Here is one thing that Haleigh and I DO NOT have in common.  To be honest, I was quite shocked that she actually touched the snake and smiled!  With the way she has been reacting to various flying insects---crazy, loud screaming---this was impressive!  She likes snakes she said.  Of course that is b/c she is a super girl!!

My choice for the day is the white tiger.  Isn’t it gorgeous?

A peacock joined us for lunch.  Jamesy fed it, imagine that!

Here is Haleigh…brushing her teeth with her new Hello Kitty toothbrush.  I promised her she could pick out her own toothbrush and she got a battery operated one.  She loves it.  Not really sure why she had to wear the hat to brush her teeth…

Me:  “Haleigh, get back in here.  You don’t have any pants on.”

Haleigh:  “I know! But I need to sit on the bench with Jamesy.”

Me:  “Haleigh, please get back in here.  You don’t have any pants on!”

Haleigh:  “But you know, mom, I AM a super girl!” **You must picture her shaking her head at me and waving her hand at me to emphasize her point.**

Me:  “Haleigh, what does you not wearing pants have to do with you being a super girl?!”

Haleigh:  “Mom, I am a supergirl and that makes it ok. You just need to take a picture ok?  Go get your camera.”

Me:  “Well, alright, if the supergirl says so.”

Pants or no pants---we still took pictures.  Just praying the neighbors don’t think we are crazy when she is running around half dressed.  She hates to wear pants!  LOL

This first slew of pics are funny to  me.  It’s almost as if she whispered into his ear…”watch carefully and do what I do.”  He listened!  And they both giggled and laughed as they made funny faces at me.

James and his litte buddy.  He and Snowball have become such good pals.  James is to thank for Snowball’s extra pounds, too!

Oh…another cute quote tonight:

Haleigh’s bedtime prayer…NOT prompted by me at all…her hands were folded and eyes were closed…

“Dear God,

Thank you for the food.  For the children.  For all my toys.  And just everything.  And all God’s children said Amen.”

She is such an angel.

My prayer:

Dear God,

Thank you for the most gracious gifts you could have ever given me…Haleigh and James.

Good friends get along no matter which team they cheer for!  Today I am thankful for good friends…even when they show up at my house wearing Orange and Black!  As you can tell…two played that game.  But it’s all in good fun!

These last two picture were taken with my iphone.  Haleigh was out cold this evening in the car.  We had to drop some paper work off in Cinci and I couldn’t even get her out of the car seat!  Then we headed home for dinner and ice cream…my special treat to the kids since they wouldn’t see Chris.  Aren’t those ice cream cones cute?!  The perfect size…we will go there (Whit’s) for those again!

A pretty red leaf floating in the water. We went down to the park after dinner.  As you can see, Chris tried to teach Haleigh how to skip rocks on the water.  They LOVE throwing rocks in the water.

How very blessed we are to have Grandparents in our lives.  To each of you:  Ya Ya, Maw, Grammy, Pap Pap, Great Pap Pap, Great Grandma June, Oma Jaci and Colonel Tom…WE LOVE EACH OF YOU!!  The love that you share with our children is a gift.  We appreciate all that each of you do for Haleigh, James and us.   Thank you all for being the wonderful grandparents that you are.

Here are a couple of other pics from the day.  We picked our first carrot of the garden today.  And, no, those aren’t apples!  They picked tomatoes right off the vine and started digging in.

James was DETERMINED to get the wagon to move!!  Haleigh came along for help.  They did good…until I got in!  Then though both got mad that they couldn’t push me in the wagon.

What’d you say?  I can’t hear you?!

Lol…this is one of the fun things she found while we were cleaning the garage.  This picture was actually taken Friday. I put it in 8the place of 87 until I get my hands on the actual 87.  I went to a friends house and took pictures with her camera so until I get the pictures from her, I will keep this one it’s place.

We had a crazy busy weekend.  We spent the day on Friday getting ready for the garage sale.  Chris worked so hard organizing his stuff.  I was so proud of how he even categorized his things!!  LOL!!  Then we got to get to know our new neighbors.  They came over and taught us how to play Euchre.  I definitely not very good but I’m excited about playing it more.  With little sleep, woke up early Saturday morning and got going with the community garage sale.  It turned out great and we sold a lot of stuff.  What we didn’t sell we were able to donate to a local missions group.  That was a nice way to end the day.  And then we got to go hang out with great friends at the Joneses.  We are so lucky to have such a crew of good friends.  We all had a blast and Haleigh and Chris enjoyed some fishing.  We even got to roast smores around the campfire.  And now here it is Sunday.  We had a great morning at church…I am still loving my new job!  The kids are napping and the Steelers are playing!  I have yet to take my picture of the day for today but stay tuned…I have some ideas (that could be scary)!!

How sweet! I just love it when they play…together!  I love how she has her arm around him.
