Another item off my bucket list…thanks Chris, for making it happen. Need to add some more things. I’m adding a couple right now but thinking I need to make a longer list. It feels good to do things and check ‘em off the list!!
- find the courage to go zip lining
- run a 10k
Sooo…the color run was a GREAT time!! And, YES, after 4 days, I STILL have color in my hair.
We did the Columbus race so we had to leave at the break of dawn…worth leaving at 5:30 to beat the lines. Here we are in some before shots. The socks were very necessary!
Yep, the head bands and shades became very necessary too.
See how many people were BEHIND us? That doesn’t count all of the people in front of us!! There were 12,000 people that ran the race which made it quite difficult for us to even run the race! We spent some time walking—and rolling—and throwing--which we were all ok with.
“Is your mouth closed?”
At the finish line, every 15 minutes, there is a color burst where everyone throws their own packet of color into the air. So fun.
Yep, that’s a disposable camera—didn’t know they still made those, did ya?! We got two so we could get some shots without worrying about our real cameras. The pictures I have on the blog are from my iphone (Jamie you still need to send me yours). Thank goodness for the otter box although I’m quite sure there is still some color in the nooks and crannies of my phone and quite possible my ears.
At the end, you go through the blowers (didn’t really help all that much).
This was my hair post race after I took my headband out. There was a ribfest afterwards but we didn’t much feel like ribs in the condition we were in!
Fun memories Chris, Scott, and Jamie~!
